Listi

Safety & Trust

How Listi works —
and what we don't do.

Listi is a Dubai-licensed referral directory. This page explains exactly what we verify, what we don't, how to stay safe on the platform, and how to raise a complaint.

How it works

From sign-up to your first referral

A clear, four-step flow. Every step is documented in our Business Terms so there are no surprises.

1. Create your Listing

Sign up, pick Dubai as your operating city, select your sector, and upload your Dubai trade licence — a mainland DET licence, a Dubai free zone licence (DMCC, DIFC, Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, DAFZA, JAFZA, etc.), or a freelancer permit — plus any sector-specific licence required by your regulator. Listings in regulated sectors also complete our document flow before going live.

2. We review and publish

Admin reviews the Listing for completeness and removes anything that breaches Section 13 / 13A. Approved Listings go live on a dedicated listi.ae page. Free Plan listings are not submitted to search engines; Flexi and Growth Plans are submitted to Google, Bing, and AI discovery platforms.

3. Set your Reward Offer

Decide what you pay a Referrer for a successful introduction — fixed fee, percentage, or custom. You control the reward structure. Listi takes zero commission on referrals.

4. Receive InternChat leads

T&C-accepted Users and Referrers contact you through InternChat. Free Plan receives up to 20 messages per month; Flexi and Growth unlock unlimited messaging plus blog posts and video.

Verification & safety

An honest picture of our
verification process

Listi is a directory platform. Here is exactly what we do, what we do not, and what you should do before engaging with anyone on the Platform.

What Listi does

  • • Collects a Dubai trade licence at Business registration — mainland DET, a Dubai free zone licence, or a freelancer permit
  • • Requires sector-specific documents for high-risk sectors (§6A forex & crypto, §6B real estate, §6C healthcare, legal, education and more)
  • • Reviews every Listing and Blog Post before publication
  • • Removes Listings that breach Section 13 prohibited categories
  • • Responds to complaints within 5 working days (§6E) and reports confirmed fraud to UAE authorities

What Listi does NOT do

  • • Substantively authenticate licences or documents
  • • Endorse or recommend any Business or Freelancer
  • • Guarantee referrals, leads, search rankings, or traffic
  • • Mediate or arbitrate disputes between a Business and a Referrer or customer
  • • Handle payments — Rewards are paid directly by the Business to the Referrer

What you should do

  • • Keep your licences current and re-upload on renewal (§6A.4)
  • • Only operate within your licensed sector and Dubai scope (§3C)
  • • Comply with UAE sector rules on commission and fee-splitting (§6C.2)
  • • Never submit forged or expired documents — zero tolerance, mandatory reporting (§6A.12)

Our neutral directory position. Listi is not a regulated operator in any sector listed on the Platform. Documents collected at registration are a declaratory record — not independent authentication. Regulatory enforcement belongs to the competent UAE authorities (VARA, SCA, CBUAE, RERA, DLD, DHA, DLAD, KHDA, Dubai Municipality, DET, MOHRE, Ministry of Economy, FTA). This position is set out in full in Business T&Cs Section 6D.

A safe partner in Dubai

Built for Dubai. Compliant
with UAE law.

Every promise we make is in our terms. Every promise we do not make is also in our terms. Read both before you sign up.

Dubai-only scope

Listi operates exclusively in Dubai, UAE (§3C). We do not solicit Businesses outside Dubai, and Listings outside scope are removed.

Regulated-sector gates

High-risk sectors (forex, crypto, real estate, healthcare, legal, education and more) must clear our document flow before they can go live. Fraud triggers mandatory regulator reporting.

UAE PDPL-aligned

Personal data is handled under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021. InternChat keeps contact details private until both sides choose to share.

Complaints about any Listing can be sent to hi@listi.ae. We review credible complaints within 5 working days and may suspend or remove the Listing pending response. Where warranted, we report the matter to the relevant UAE authority (Business T&Cs §6E).

Something's wrong?

Email hi@listi.ae with the listing URL and what happened. We triage every complaint within 3 business days and can remove listings that breach our policies or a referrer's published commitments.
