Content Policy

Version 1Last updated: 20 April 2026

This Content Policy sets out the standards that all content published on the platform operated at listi.ae (the "Platform") by Listi Partners Portal("Listi", "we", "us", or "our") — a sole establishment licensed in Dubai under Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) Licence No. 1523229 (E-Trader Professional category) — must meet. It applies to Businesses, Users, and Referrers, and should be read together with our User Terms, Business Terms, and Privacy Policy.

The names "Listi" and "Listi.ae" and associated logos are trademarks of Listi Partners Portal. Trademark registration is currently in process in the UAE. All rights are reserved pending registration.

1. Purpose

We moderate content to maintain the safety, quality, and legal compliance of the Platform under UAE law, including Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on Combating Rumours and Cybercrimes, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection, Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection, and applicable advertising standards issued by the UAE National Media Council and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

  • Businesses — for all listing content, logos, images, offers, reward descriptions, and category selections;
  • Users and Referrers — for profile information, LinkedIn URLs submitted for verification, messages sent through InternChat, referred-person details, and any review, rating, or feedback content;
  • Third parties whose details are shared by a Referrer — Referrers must ensure such sharing complies with this Policy and the Privacy Policy.

3. Business Listing Standards

Business listing content must be:

  • Accurate and truthful — no misleading claims about services, pricing, reward amounts, certifications, awards, or business credentials;
  • Properly licensed — the Business must hold a valid trade licence (or equivalent authorisation) for the services it advertises on the Platform;
  • Professional and appropriate — free of offensive, discriminatory, harassing, sexually explicit, or inappropriate language;
  • Original or properly licensed — Businesses must own or have a valid licence to use all text, images, logos, and videos in their listings;
  • Compliant with UAE law — including consumer-protection, advertising, health, financial, real-estate, and sector-specific regulations that apply to the Business's activity.

4. User and Referrer Content Standards

When contributing content — including profile details, messages, and referral information — Users and Referrers must:

  • Use accurate, genuine identity information at sign-up and in profile content;
  • Only submit a personal LinkedIn profile URL that belongs to them (third-party or fake profiles are prohibited);
  • Not impersonate any other person, business, or public figure;
  • Only share the details of third parties in a referral with that person's prior consent;
  • Communicate professionally and lawfully through InternChat — no harassment, threats, scams, or unwanted commercial messages;
  • Not share login credentials, personal data, or financial information that should remain private.

5. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited anywhere on the Platform, regardless of who posts it:

  • False, misleading, deceptive, or exaggerated claims about any product, service, reward, qualification, or affiliation;
  • Content promoting illegal products or activities under UAE law (including unlicensed financial services, unregulated medical or cosmetic procedures, unlicensed recruitment or visa services, gambling, or narcotics);
  • Hate speech, incitement, or discrimination on the grounds of religion, nationality, ethnicity, gender, disability, or any other protected characteristic;
  • Content that insults the UAE, its leadership, its symbols, or that offends public morals or public order;
  • Adult, sexual, or sexually suggestive content;
  • Violent, graphic, shocking, or cruelty-related content;
  • Content that sexualises, endangers, or exploits minors;
  • Content that harasses, intimidates, stalks, or doxxes another person;
  • Spam, mass-unsolicited advertising, bulk outreach, phishing attempts, or off-topic content;
  • Copyrighted, trademarked, or otherwise proprietary material used without authorisation;
  • Personal data of identifiable individuals shared without a lawful basis or without their consent;
  • Malware, scraping tools, or any code intended to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Platform or to other users' accounts;
  • Content that violates the UAE Cybercrime Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021), the UAE Consumer Protection Law (Federal Law No. 15 of 2020), or any other applicable UAE law.

6. Advertising, Offers, and Reward Claims

  • Reward amounts shown on a listing must be the actual reward a Referrer can realistically earn and must not be misleading;
  • Time-limited promotions must clearly state start and end dates and any eligibility conditions;
  • Regulated claims (for example, medical, health, financial, legal, or real-estate claims) must be supported by evidence and any required UAE licences, and must comply with the advertising rules that apply to that sector;
  • Comparative advertising must be fair, verifiable, and must not denigrate competitors.

7. Image and Media Standards

  • Images and videos must be relevant to the Business listing and reasonably represent the actual product, service, or premises;
  • No offensive, explicit, violent, or inappropriate imagery;
  • Images must be of reasonable quality and resolution — heavily distorted, watermarked stock images, or images unrelated to the listing are not permitted;
  • Individuals who appear identifiably in an uploaded image must have consented to the use of their image on the Platform;
  • Logos and brand marks may only be used by their rightful owner or with documented authorisation.

8. Reviews, Ratings, and Feedback

  • Feedback must be based on a genuine personal experience with the Business, service, or Referrer;
  • Fake, incentivised, retaliatory, or coordinated reviews are prohibited;
  • Businesses may not solicit reviews in exchange for money, discounts, or rewards, nor may they attempt to remove or suppress genuine negative feedback by threat or pressure;
  • Content that is defamatory or that names specific individuals in an accusatory way without factual basis will be removed.

9. Review and Moderation

  • All Business listings are subject to administrative review before publication. Listi may approve, edit, reject, or remove content that does not meet this Policy, with or without prior notice;
  • Listi may use automated tools (for example, duplicate-listing detection, spam filtering, image screening) to support moderation. A human review step is available on request;
  • Moderation decisions are not a substitute for the legal responsibility of the content owner to ensure their content is lawful.

10. Reporting Violations

If you come across content on the Platform that you believe violates this Policy, please report it to hi@listi.ae. Please include the listing URL or profile identifier, the specific content you believe is in breach, and a short description of the issue. For privacy-related concerns (for example, personal data being shared without consent, or requests from third parties whose details were shared in a referral), write to privacy@listi.ae.

11. Intellectual Property Complaints

If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property right, send a written notice to hi@listi.ae including:

  • Your name, contact details, and (if applicable) the rights-holder you represent;
  • Identification of the work or mark being infringed;
  • The URL or identifier of the allegedly infringing content on the Platform;
  • A statement confirming, in good faith, that the use is not authorised by you, your agent, or the law;
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of account suspension for false claims, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights-holder.

We review valid notices promptly and may remove or restrict access to the content while we investigate. We may share your notice with the content owner to allow them to respond.

12. Consequences of Violation

Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, Listi may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Edit or remove the content;
  • Send a warning to the account holder;
  • Suspend the listing, profile, or feature access;
  • Terminate the account and delete associated content in accordance with our retention rules;
  • Withhold, reverse, or refuse to issue a refund where the account is suspended or terminated for breach (in line with our Refund Policy);
  • Report the content or the account holder to the relevant UAE authorities where required by law.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Content Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, applicable law, or moderation practices. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, communicated to affected users in advance.
