Food On Focus Media: The F&B Creative Agency Behind Dubai Menus That Sell

In Dubai, most diners decide where to eat before they ever see the restaurant: on Instagram, on Talabat, on Google Maps. That makes food photography in Dubai a sales tool, not decoration, and it is the reason Food On Focus Media exists. Founded in 2019, it is an F&B creative agency that produces food photography, video, social content and branding for restaurants, cafés, hotels, cloud kitchens and food brands across Dubai and the UAE, with a simple brief to itself: make people hungry.

This guide explains what the agency does, the work it is known for, and links to every service so you can go straight to the one your venue needs.

Who Food On Focus Media is

Food On Focus Media was founded by Logeswari K. M., its co-founder and creative director, and co-founder Shashank Ashok, and works from SIT Tower in Dubai Silicon Oasis. The in-house team covers photography and cinematography, food styling, editing and graphic design, social media and performance marketing. You can meet them on the team page and read the background on About Food On Focus Media.

The agency's work has been recognised with the BeingShe x Gulf News Excellence in Media award in 2026. Its clients include Godiva UAE, Alpro UAE and Irish Vickers, along with independent cafés, bakeries and cloud kitchens.

Food photography services

Restaurant and food photography

The core service is food photography in Dubai for restaurants, cafés and food brands: menu shoots, delivery-app listings, product images and campaigns. The agency also shoots food photography in Abu Dhabi.

Menu photography

For a restaurant refreshing its menu, Menu Photography Dubai shoots up to 25 dishes in a day and hands over edited, high-resolution images that are yours to keep. Quotes come back within 24 hours.

Delivery-app photography

Delivery platforms crop and compress images aggressively. Delivery App Menu Photography is shot for Talabat, Deliveroo, Careem and noon Food: each dish as a landscape master that survives the square crop, lit consistently across the menu, and delivered as files named after the item they belong to.

Café, beverage and product photography

Coffee shops and brunch spots get their own approach in Cafe Photography Dubai. Drinks are the hardest thing on a menu to shoot, because glass reflects the room and ice melts before the garnish is on, which is why Beverage & Drink Photography is a separate service. Packaged goods and e-commerce listings are covered by Food Product Photography, in studio or on location.

Food styling

An in-house food stylist works alongside the photographers on plating, props, drinks and packaging, with one rule worth noting: real food, never AI.

Video, social and marketing

Photos stop the scroll; video now does most of the selling. Food Video Production covers reels, ad films and branded content for restaurants, cafés and hotels. For venues that want a steady feed rather than one-off shoots, Restaurant Social Media Management delivers monthly photos, reels and campaigns planned against a content calendar.

Above that sits Restaurant & F&B Marketing: launch plans, social media, influencer campaigns, SEO and paid ads, with the photography and video made by the same team, so the campaign and the visuals come from one brief. The umbrella service for all of it is Content Production.

Branding and design

New venues often need more than photographs. F&B Branding & Design creates brand strategy, logos, menus, packaging and brand guidelines for restaurants, cafés and cloud kitchens, plus 3D interior designs that help new venues plan their space and prepare for landlord approval.

The work, in numbers

The project portfolio is specific about results, which is rare in this industry:

  • Godiva UAE: 35 to 40 SKUs shot at three angles each, more than 120 web-ready images delivered in one day, now live on Godiva's website.
  • Alpro UAE: nine plant-based drinks styled and photographed in under a week, with the brand retained through its 2025 summer campaign.
  • Irish Vickers: fifteen food and drink visuals in one day, featured in Time Out Dubai and later requested by Guinness for its own use.
  • OMA Bakery: monthly photography and reels since 2024, including a cookie launch that passed 255,000 organic views.
  • Plantoholic: two years of branding for a plant-based Palm Jumeirah café, including a 3D café design approved by Nakheel.

Guides worth reading before you book a shoot

The Food On Focus blog is written by the people who shoot for restaurants every week, and several articles are useful even if you never hire them:

A checklist for your next menu shoot

Whoever you hire, the quality of a food shoot is decided before the photographer arrives. Restaurants that get the most out of a shoot day usually do the following:

  • Decide where the photos will live. A delivery app, a printed menu, Instagram and a Google Business Profile all crop differently. Tell the photographer every destination so each dish is shot to survive all of them.
  • Prioritise the dishes that sell. Start with best-sellers and high-margin items, not the full menu in menu order. If the day runs long, the dishes that matter are already done.
  • Prep twice the garnish you think you need. Herbs wilt and sauces skin over under lights. A spare plate of the key components saves re-cooking.
  • Have the kitchen cook to camera timing. Each dish should come out as the photographer is ready for it, not all at once. Hot food looks hot for a few minutes only.
  • Bring the real props. Your actual plates, cutlery and table surfaces make the photos match what customers receive, which matters for reviews.
  • Agree file names and formats in advance. Named, sized files go straight onto Talabat or Deliveroo; a folder of IMG_4471.jpg does not.
  • Confirm usage rights in writing. You should own and be able to reuse the edited images without a licence fee each time.

A good F&B agency will ask about most of this in the brief. If one does not, treat that as a signal.

When it makes sense to hire an F&B specialist

A general photographer can take a good picture of a plate. What a specialist F&B agency adds is knowing what each platform does to that picture, how long foam lasts under lights, how to keep twenty-five dishes consistent across a menu, and how the image will be used to sell. If your delivery-app photos were shot on a phone, if your Instagram looks different every week, or if you are opening a new venue and need the brand, the menu and the launch content together, a specialist will usually pay for itself faster than another round of discounts.

Restaurants planning an opening event can pair the content with an events team. Zarak Events, which works from the same SIT Tower office and whose articles are written by Food On Focus co-founder Shashank Ashok, delivered the Manna Mess restaurant launch in Dubai.
